[On the night of December 24th Horatio will find a package left for him at the casino. Inside is a mannequin and a note.]

Sorry it took me so long to get to this project. The mannequin inside was pieced together from several others. Consider it a test run. If the quality is to your liking I can work on Dolores whenever it works for you.

[Initially the mannequin's face was chipped and their arms and legs were broken but it was impossible to tell that now. The legs and arms looked like they originally came from the mannequin instead of a bunch of others and any small imperfections were expertly painted over.]

Thank you so much for your kind gift. So much has happened since we spoke in the forest that I have to admit that I'd almost forgotten. Dolores certainly gave me hell for it, but she and I both really like the work you did on the mannequin. She's more than happy to come and stay with you for a while whenever you're ready.

I hope that the enclosed gift finds you well, despite coming a little late in the season.

[Altair likes the gift. He is both touched and concerned that Horatio was perceptive about his earring. But maybe his bracelet will help disguise how important the earring is. He just likes purple, nothing more. Altair's reply comes in the next day, the 26th was a rather eventful day for him, but in a good way.]

Thank you for the gift and please apologize to Dolores for the delay. I had hoped to make the test run earlier so she would be finished for the holidays but since when has anything gone according to plan here? I'm glad the quality is to your liking. It will only take a few days but we should probably start soon before ryslig complicates things again. I can pick her up tomorrow so she will be finished in time to celebrate the new year if that works for you.

Other than overworking herself over the holidays, Annie is doing well, great actually. I'm sure you will hear from her soon. Thank you for being there for her.

Speak of the devil, actually, Annie just messaged me. We're going to catch up. Thanks for letting me know. She's my sister at this point, there for me just as much as I am for her, truth be told. Sometimes she reminds me of my actual sister from home, Allison. Always up for gossip and spreading rumors to see what kind of trouble she can get into.

As for Dolores: how does the first week of January or so look for you?
